Free & Starter Plans (Personal Use Only)

• Adventures are for personal, non-commercial use only
• You may run adventures for your friends and gaming groups
• You may NOT sell, distribute, or monetize adventures created on these tiers
• PDFs include an ArcForge watermark

Pro & Premium Plans (Commercial License)

• Full commercial use rights on all adventures you create
• Sell on DMsGuild, DriveThruRPG, Itch.io, or any platform
• Distribute to clients or include in products
• No watermark on exported PDFs
• Retain full ownership of your creative content

Plan Limits

• Apprentice (Free) - 2 AI adventures/month, 1 battle map, 5 scenes/campaign
• Adventurer (from $3.99/mo) - 10 AI adventures/month, 5 battle maps, 15 scenes/campaign
• Hero (from $7.99/mo) - 25 AI adventures/month, 25 battle maps, 50 scenes/campaign
• Legend (from $15.99/mo) - 100 AI adventures/month, 100 battle maps, 200 scenes/campaign

Manual adventure creation (no AI) has no monthly limit on any plan.

Daily Limits

To ensure service quality, daily generation limits also apply:

• Free: 2 per day
• Adventurer: 5 per day
• Hero: 10 per day
• Legend: 15 per day

Project Storage Limits

Each plan includes a maximum number of stored projects:

• Free: 10 projects
• Adventurer: 50 projects
• Hero: 150 projects
• Legend: 500 projects

Prohibited Use

No plan includes:

• Reselling API access or adventure generation as a service
• Automated bulk generation via bots or scripts
• Using ArcForge as an infrastructure component of another product
• Sharing one account across multiple organizations or teams

We'll always contact you first. If your usage pattern seems unusual, we'll reach out to understand your needs. We're here to help, not punish creative users!

We will never suspend or limit your account without giving you advance notice and an opportunity to discuss.

AI Content Disclaimers

• AI responses are generated algorithmically and may not always be accurate, appropriate, or consistent
• AI-generated narratives, combat encounters, and game content are for entertainment purposes only
• We are not responsible for the specific content generated by AI in response to your inputs
• AI content should not be considered professional, legal, medical, or financial advice of any kind
• AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected, nonsensical, or contradictory results

Solo Play Mode

• Solo Play is an AI-driven interactive game experience featuring combat, dice rolls, narration, and storytelling
• All interactions with the AI Game Master are subject to our Content & Safety Policy
• Your gameplay inputs, character data, and AI-generated responses may be stored to maintain your game state
• We do not use your Solo Play content to train AI models (see our Privacy Policy)
• Game data (character progress, inventory, story state) is stored in your browser's local storage and may be lost if you clear browser data

Content Moderation

All user inputs and AI-generated outputs are subject to automated content moderation. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Content may be filtered, blocked, or modified to comply with our safety policies
• Violations of our content policies may result in account suspension or termination
• We may report illegal content to appropriate law enforcement authorities
• Full details are in our Content & Safety Policy

Your Content Rights:

• You retain full ownership of all campaigns, adventures, and content you create
• You may export and use your content in any format or platform
• ArcForge provides generic fantasy reference materials that are not system-specific
• You are responsible for ensuring your campaigns comply with any third-party licenses you choose to use

Password Security

• Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt (12 rounds)
• We NEVER store passwords in plain text
• Minimum password requirements: 12 characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, special character
• Account lockout after 5 failed login attempts (30-minute timeout)

Two-Factor Authentication

• We strongly recommend enabling 2FA for enhanced account security
• 2FA uses time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) compatible with Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.
• Backup codes provided in case you lose access to your authenticator

Data Storage & Protection

• All data encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
• Database hosted on secure, encrypted infrastructure (PostgreSQL)
• Regular automated backups to prevent data loss
• Access logs maintained for security auditing
• Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity

BY USING ARCFORGE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

Service Provided "AS IS"

ARCFORGE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FREEDOM FROM COMPUTER VIRUS OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE.

We do not warrant that: (a) the service will meet your requirements; (b) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (c) the results from using the service will be accurate or reliable; (d) any errors in the service will be corrected.

Assumption of Risk

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF ARCFORGE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. You assume all responsibility and risk for your use of the service, including but not limited to:

• Loss or corruption of data, including campaigns, characters, and adventure content
• Unauthorized access to your account due to compromised credentials
• Third-party actions including hacking, data theft, or service disruptions
• Reliance on AI-generated content for accuracy, appropriateness, or legality
• Service interruptions, downtime, or discontinuation of features
• Integration failures with third-party platforms (VTTs, character tools, etc.)

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ARCFORGE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• The use, disclosure, or display of your user-generated content
• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alterations of your transmissions or data
• Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
• Damages resulting from any security breach, data leak, or cyber attack
• Damages arising from content generated by ArcForge AI systems
• Any other matter relating to the Service

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Cap on Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF ARCFORGE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00). THIS LIMITATION IS CUMULATIVE AND NOT PER-INCIDENT.

Data Security Acknowledgment

While we implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure
• Unauthorized parties may potentially gain access to data despite security measures
• You assume all risk associated with data storage on our platform
• You are responsible for maintaining backups of important content
• ArcForge shall not be liable for any data breaches, even if caused by our negligence

Recommendation: Regularly export and backup your campaigns. Keep copies of important adventure content offline.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ArcForge and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; (d) any content you create, submit, or share through the service; (e) your negligence or willful misconduct.

Release of Claims

You hereby release and forever discharge ArcForge and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from any and all claims, demands, damages, suits, and causes of action of every kind and nature, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, that you may have arising from your use of the service. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which states: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at legal@myarcforge.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Most concerns can be resolved this way.

Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

• The arbitration shall take place in Delaware or remotely via video conference
• The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding
• Judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction
• Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney's fees unless the arbitrator determines otherwise

Class Action Waiver

YOU AND ARCFORGE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or prevent immediate harm. Small claims court actions are also excluded from the arbitration requirement.
